Portion of Attapulgus-Climax Road will be closed

Attapulgus- Climax Road will be closed from Bower Station Road to Stone Road, from Jan. 24 through Jan. 27, barring any adverse weather conditions or breakdowns, to allow Southern Concrete Construction Co. to do bridge rehabilitation on the bridge over Callahan Branch, according to County Clerk Beverly King.

Detour information is as follows:

• Traffic heading north on Attapulgus- Climax Road from around Attapulgus will take Bower Station Road west to U.S. Highway 27, U.S. Highway 27 north to Woodhull Road,Woodhull Road east to Cedar Grove Road, then Cedar Grove Road east back to Attapulgus-Climax Road.

• Traffic going south on Attapulgus- Climax Road from around Climax will take Stone Road southeast to State Route 262, then south on State Route 262 to Wautauga Road, then Watauga Road west back toward Attapulgus.
