Members of the Bainbridge Rotary Club met for their weekly meeting at the Kirbo Center on Tuesday. The guest speaker was Paula Hurt, who spoke about Woodmen Life. Specifically, she spoke about the fraternal apsects of their programs. These include scholarships and student debt aid.

“We have a scholarship program that we help out high school students with their college debt, but then you have to be a Woodmen member for at least three years and a recent high school graduate,” Hurt explained. “And then we’ve got a student debt relief program that we help with. Again you have to be a Woodmen Life member, the family has to be a Woodmen Life member.”

Other things Woodmen contributes to includes American flag presentations. The organization also recently partnered with the city of Climax to clean up Parker Park, and install a new fountain and park benches there.
