Pilot Club to roast Dr. Walker

The Pilot Club of Bainbridge will honor local surgeon Dr. Charles Walker, at their 28th annual roast on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Charter House Inn.

Walker, a native of Donalsonville, Ga., has practiced his medical specialty in Bainbridge since 1990.

Glennie Bench will be the emcee for the evening. Designated roasters will be Dr. Don Robinson and Charles Tyson, in addition to two special mystery roasters who are expected to participate.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from either Emily Yent at Edward Jones, (229) 246-6400, or from Beverly Little at (229) 246-4920. Reservation deadline is Jan. 16.
