SECOND PLACE ANGLERS in the C&R Outdoors tournament held out of Wingate’s Lodge this past weekend were Jeff Wenhold and Steve Bushore with a catch of 20.90 lbs. and a big fish weighing 7.5 pounds.

ANGLER PAUL TYRE shows off some of his nice catch of 17 bass on Friday morning.

The Hydrilla Gnats put on the “Kids Kastin Kontest” at the River Days Boat Basin Park. B.A.S.S. cut out the contest for kids 5 or 6 years ago.

Thank goodness its not hurricane season because I saw a forked-tail kyte flying north of 97 south this week. He’s normally not 30 miles from salt water.

We have the results of the 17-boat Madison Co. Bass Club’s last weekend tournament. 1st went to Bobby and Doug with 32.62 lbs. in a day and a half fishing.  Big Fish was caught by Troy and Bud and weighed 6.53 lbs.

C&R Tournament out of Wingate’s finished with Matt Baty and Kyle Henderson in 1st Place with 22.25 lbs.; Steve Bushore and Jeff Wenhold took 2nd Place with 20.90 lbs. and Big Fish at 7.50 lbs.; Obert and Gilbert took 3rd Place with 17.50 lbs. All but one fish swam away to be caught again.

Not only the wind has hurt the Bass Fishen but Tuesday and part of Wednesday the Flint River ran backwards due to pressure on the Chattahoochee.  Bass and most other fish don’t understand it, unless they are in tidal waters.

17 good Bass taken on worms by Paul Tyre, this was on Friday morning.

Tis been a slow week due to the hi winds but a few good catches of Bream and Crackers were taken.

Note: Bin Laden drink: two shots and a splash of water!
