Coach Patrick Clark’s Bainbridge Middle School seventh grade Bearcats basketball team improved their record Wednesday with a 41-19 victory over Cairo’s Washington Middle School seventh grade Tigers at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum.

The seventh grade Bearcats now have three wins, no losses and one tie.

Tyree Crump led the way with 12 points. He was followed by Jadarius Murphy with 10, Myles Thomas with nine, Dontavious Jones with four, and Dayquis, Hampton, Deandre Miller, and Jeantavious Jeanty all with two.

Coach Clark expressed pleasure with his team’s performance.

“I really was impressed with the effort my entire team exhibited,” he said. “Eevery player performed well and it was a great win for our team.

“If we continue to practice hard and cut out our mental errors, we will have a chance to finish the season with a 5-0-1 record.”
