The Bainbridge Middle School seventh-grade Lady Cats and Bearcats basketball teams dropped two games to the Washington Middle School seventh-grade Lady Tigers and Tigers on Thursday at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum.
The Lady Cats dropped the opener 26-3 and the Bearcats built a 19-15 halftime lead before falling behind and ultimately losing 36-23.
Tyra Adams scored all three of the Lady Cats’ points. The Lady Tigers were led by Kany Greene with 10 points and Shandra Jackson with six.
Leading the way for the Bearcats in the nightcap were Tyler Jackson with six points, and Keyshawn Madge and Dalvin Spivie with four points apiece.
Milton Gayle, Ladon Crankfield and Montavious Flowers all scored three points.
The teams will rematch next Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Cairo. The girls game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the boys game will follow.
