Registration for the 2013 football and cheerleading season ends this Friday, August 16. Stop into Leisure Services to register or visit www.bainbridgecity.com to download your forms.  Assessments will begin on Monday, August 26 and run thru August 30. Junior Fall Tennis Clinics began on Monday.  Ages 4-6 meet on Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.; ages 7-9 beginners meet on Tuesdays and Thursday from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.; ages 9-11 intermediate meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.; ages 11-15 intermediate meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. and ages 14-18 advanced meet Tuesdays and Thursday s from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per session for ages 4-6; $10 per session for ages 7-15 and $15 per session for ages 14-18. Sign up for Boot Camp Session V begins Tuesday, September 3 at the Bainbridge Leisure Services office. This six week camp will be on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for a total of 15 sessions. Saturday, September 21 is the day of the First Young Barbarian Mud Run! Kids ages 9-14 will run through a 1.5 mile course filled with 20 crazy, wet, and muddy obstacles like “the muddy dragon” to overcome! There will be three waves divided by age groups of 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Space is limited to 40 kids per age group and preregistration is required. There will be no signups the day of the muddy fun!

The day of the run each participant will get a barbarian tattoo and running number. Upon completion of the run, each participate will receive a Barbarian helmet! Medals for the top three finishers in each age group, boy and girl, will be awarded. Cost is just $20 per child! Don’t wait to the last minute! Calling all zombie wannabes! The first Bainbridge Zombie Apocalypse 5k run is coming soon! If you are not a runner, but still want to be part of the fun, we need zombies…lots of zombies!
