The Decatur County Schools’ nurses were recognized for their service with a special appreciation reception held Wednesday, May 8, at Hutto Middle School. Dr. Fred Rayfield, Decatur County superintendent of schools, read a proclamation from Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal, proclaiming May 8 as Georgia School Nurses Day. The nurses are, left to right, Christy Harrell, Misty Griffin, Kay Smith, Cara Lynn, Brandy Howard, Bonnie Provence, Carla Parrish and Vickie Parker.
