Bainbridge All-Stars off to state playoffs

The City of Bainbridge Leisure Services 9-and-10-year-old All-Stars football team is off to Thomson, Ga., for the 2012 state playoffs. Thomson is about half an hour west of Augusta.

The team will be arriving Friday, Dec. 7, and playing Saturday afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff time against Pierce County.

The 8-9 All-Stars won the district championship last week against the Thomasville YMCA, by a score of 33-6.

The 7-8 year-old All-Stars will compete in the next round of the playoffs for their age group this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Centennial Field in Bainbridge.
