The Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougar’s lost to Westwood on Friday, Feb. 3, at home 52-38.

The Lady Cougar’s hung in there all game, but a slow first half gave way to a slow second half which saw Westwood pull away and seal the victory. Grace started the game well, and the teams were only separated by one point at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Grace kept it close to Westwood, but managed to be outscored again. At halftime Westwood led Grace 21-16.

The third quarter was a little bit better for the Lady Cougars, but it was also better for Westwood, who continued to outscore Grace. The fourth quarter was the final nail in the coffin for the Lady Cougars, who got outscored by six in the fourth.

Mikey Harrell scored 12 to lead Grace in scoring. Kaitlyn Holcombe was second in scoring for the Lady Cougars with eight points.

The Lady Cougars next game is against Terrell Academy on Friday, Feb. 10 in Dawson, Georgia.
