Laura Griner made up for the lost scoring opportunity with a triple to right field, scoring Phillips, Williams and Vaughn. Harrison bunt-singled to score Laura Griner. Harrison moved to second base on defensive indifference, then came around to score on Barber’s single.

Junior pitcher Brooke Bates pitched five shutout innings, only allowing one hit and one walk. She struck out 11 Lady Pirate batters.
