Last week ended the 2013 Bainbridge City Co-ed Softball season! Cherokee Equipment and Griffin Uniform fought it out in a tight game. It was close all the way to the end with Cherokee Equipment coming out on top! All the teams played well and fun was had by all who participated! If you missed playing this year, don’t worry, there is always next season!

Football and cheerleading registration is going on now! Stop into the Leisure Services office and pick up your registration forms today. Flag football will be divided into two age groups, 3-4 year olds and 5-6 year olds. The registration fee is $20 per child. Tackle football will be divided into three age groups, ages 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. The registration fee for tackle football is $40 per child. The registration fee for cheerleading is $20 per child. All fees are to be paid at the time of registration.

Boot Camp Session IV will be ending this week. Session V will be starting September 9 and running thru the week of October 14. This camp will be on Monday and Wednesday nights and will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be a total of 15 sessions during this six week period, including three bonus Saturdays. The cost is $25 dollars. Registration will begin on Tuesday, September 3 at the Leisure Services office.

Preparation for Bainbridge’s Young Barbarian Mud Run is underway! This fun mud run is for ages 9-14 years old. The run consists of a 1 to 1-1/2 mile course with 15-20 obstacles. Preregistration is required. There will be no signup the day of the run. Age groups are limited to 30 participants. The 9 & 10 year olds will run first at 8:30 a.m. The 11 & 12 year olds will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the 13 & 14 year olds will run at 9:30 a.m. All finishers will receive an official barbarian helmet and barbarian tattoo.
