The second annual Teresa D. Young Foundation Charity Golf Tournament will be held Friday, July 12, at the Cairo Country Club, in Cairo, Ga.
The tournament will benefit the foundation, which provides a variety of community services, including some for victims of child abuse, domestic violence and violent crimes.
The format of the tournament is a four-person team scramble, and the cost is $300 per team.
On the day of the tournament, registration will take place at 10 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and a shotgun start will take place at 1:30 p.m. Drinks will be available on the course with the purchase of drink tickets.
There will be prizes for teams in first through third places, as well as for individuals who win several challenges, including longest drive, putting and closest to the pin, four hole-in-one challenges.
There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle drawing and door prizes.
Businesses or teams can sponsor a golf hole for $100 — hole sponsors receive publicity with signs, a tournament program and event T-shirts given to all tournament participants and staff.
