It was a great run and a great finish for many of those who participated, with some runners achieving a new personal best on their time. If you missed out on this one, do not worry, this will be an annual event.

The winners were as follows: overall male — Dre Banks with a time of 18:30; overall female — Amber Braswell with a time of 24:13. There was also a special division for the top finishers among those citizens who participated in the city’s “Seven Weeks to a 5K” fitness program. They were: top male — Brad Ward with a time of 41:28; and top female — Rhonda Manley with a time of 24:13.

You can log on Facebook and visit our Leisure Services page to see those who placed first, second and third each age group. What is really neat is that 11 of those who placed in their age groups are participants in the Bainbridge Leisure Services Adult Boot Camp or Seven weeks to a 5K.

We want to thank our sponsors for helping make this run a success. Gold Sponsors were Bainbridge Pharmacy, Memorial Hospital and Manor, Rex Lumber, Shaw Industries and Total Petroleum. Our Silver Sponsors were Briggs Crop Service and Three Rivers Credit Union. Southwest Georgia Farm Credit was a Bronze Sponsor. The city also sends a big thanks to the Bainbridge Lions Club for their help on Saturday.
