FLW College fishing tournament today

Anglers from 50 college campus teams will be competing in the FLW College fishing tournament on Lake Seminole today, Saturday, April 6. Hosted by the Bainbridge Convention and Visitors Bureau, this is the third of four stops in the Southeastern conference. The fifty college teams will compete for a top award of $2,000 and a berth in the Southeastern conference invitational tournament.
Anglers will take off from the Bainbridge Early May Boat Basin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Weigh-in will be held at the takeoff site beginning at 1:30 p.m. Takeoff and weigh-in are free and open to the public.
All participants are registered, full-time undergraduate students at a four-year college or university and members of a fishing club recognized by their college or university.
Some of the schools with teams competing in the Lake Seminole tournament are: Auburn, Bethel, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Columbus State, Darton State, Daytona State, Elon University, Florida Atlantic, FSU, Florida Gulf Coast University, Georgia Southwestern, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Mississippi College and Mississippi State, North Carolina, Tennessee Tech, Troy, the University of Alabama, UAB, the University of Georgia, the University of Tennessee, Valdosta State University and Wake Forest University.
