Grace pitcher Austin Anderson comes to the plate as first baseman T.J. Andrews waits on defense.|Justin Schuver

The Grace Christian Academy junior-varsity Cougars defeated visiting Valwood, 11-6, on Thursday afternoon at the Bill Reynolds Sports Complex.

Austin Anderson started on the mound for the Cougars, who fell behind early but scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Anderson hit a triple and eventually scored on a wild pitch. T.J. Andrews reached base and eventually scored on an RBI double by Jared Duke. Duke scored one batter later on an RBI single by Tyler Rentz.
