Coach Ed Pilcher, who resigned as Bainbridge High School Bearcats head football coach last month, was hired as head coach of the Berrien County High School Rebels in Nashville, Ga., on Tuesday.

Pilcher, who led the Bearcats to a 7-4 overall record, a 3-2 Region 1-AAAAA mark and a berth in the first round of the State Class AAAAA playoffs this past season, had a 30-23 record in five seasons as the Bearcats’ head coach.

Before coming to Bainbridge, Pilcher led the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets to five state championships.
