Grace teams earn 2 wins

The Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars and Cougars basketball teams captured two wins over the Randolph Southern School Lady Patriots and Patriots, on Tuesday in Shellman.
Both were Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) Region wins.
The Lady Cougars, who improved their season record to 13-8, had four players in double figures in their 66-63 victory.
The Cougars, who improved their record to 12-9, defeated the Patriots, 62-49, behind a 29-point game-high performance by Jack McRae. They were ahead 31-19 at halftime.
Jasmin Kelly and Emilee Murr led the way for the Lady Cougars, with 14 points apiece. Kelsey Harrell added 13 and Shellby Woodrum put in 11. They led 40-25 at halftime.
Also contributing to the Lady Cougars’ scoring effort were Lindsey Duke with eight points, and Hannah Wynn with six.
Anna McCook of the Lady Patriots took game-scoring honors with 19.
Joining McRae in the Cougars’ double-figure scoring column were Phillip Bowen with 13 points and Brent Noble with 11. Austin McQuaid scored six and Brent Warr scored four.
Brent Sauls led the Patriots with 12.
The Lady Cougars and Cougars returned to action Friday, hosting the Fullington Academy Lady Trojans and Trojans at Perry Memorial Gymnasium.
They will travel to Live Oak, Fla., today to take on the Melody Christian Academy girls and boys.
