Bainbridge Hgh School Bearcats senior Cameron McDowell has been selected to join eight senior Bearcats teammates on the Southwest Georgia Senior All-Star team that will meet the North Florida Senior All-Stars in the “Border Wars” All-Star game today, Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at Mack Tharpe Stadium in Moultrie.

McDowell, a first team All-Region 1-AAAAA defensive selection at cornerback, also saw playing time at quarterback and receiver. He had 44 tackles — 36 solo and eight assisted — and five interceptions which he returned for 64 yards. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 24 carries for 158 yards and three touchdowns, and four receptions for 45 yards.

Bearcats on the Southwest Georgia defensive unit with McDowell are defensive end Darryl McGee, free safety Dontavious Baulkman, strong safety Devin Hubbard and linebacker Marshall Mack. Bainbridge’s offensive selections to the team are center Cole Granato, right guard Aquivius Carroll, running back Terry Lewis and wide receiver A.J. Miller.
