Heidi Butler’s third grade class at Grace Christian Academy had the opportunity to tour, visit, and even climb the Kolomoki Mounds in Blakely, Ga., before Thanksgiving. Kolomoki Mounds is the oldest and largest Woodland Indian site in the Southeastern U.S. It was occupied by the American Indians from 350 to 750 A.D. The students enjoyed touring the museum and learning about the Indian culture of that time. Shown are: Joshua Cooper, Cotton Barker, Lainey McRae, Carter Searcy, Isabella Barnett, Nathaniel Livingston, Cassidy Nix, Griffin Perkins, Maci Johnson, Laci Johnson, Jamie Chen, Christy Whittaker, Mollie Grace Meredith, Veronica McConnell, Mary Glenn Warr, Maddy Clark, Brandon Carvajal, Miles Malone, Kooper Kearns, Jackson Davis, Ella Harrell and Kaylee Widner.
