Grace Christian Academy’s boys and girls basketball teams swept visiting Northside Methodist Academy, from Dothan, Ala., on Tuesday.

The Cougars won their game, 64-47, and the Lady Cougars won, 60-48. Both Grace teams improved their season records to 2-1.

Jack McRae led the Cougars with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Also in double figures for the Cougars were Philip Bowen with 16, Bryce McQuaid with 11 and Austin McQuaid with 10. Brent Noble put in eight points.

The Cougars shot 84 percent from the free-throw line. Jackson Smith and Dalton Mack shared scoring honors for the Knights, with 11 points apiece.

Lady Cougar Emilee Murr took scoring honors in the girls game with 17 points. Her teammates, Kelsy Harrell and Jasmin Kelly, scored 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Rounding out the Lady Cougars scoring chart were Shellby Woodrum with seven, Lindsey Duke with four, and Kaitlyn Holcombe with three.
