On Oct. 21, five West Bainbridge Elementary students competed in the regional Punt, Pass, and Kick contest in Tallahassee, Fla. Those students were: front row left to right, Charquila Akins and Wenda Sheffield; back row, left to right, Dezmond McGriff, Marcus Davis and Michael Conder. All students medaled in the competition, with awards as follows: Charquila Akins and Marcus Davis, third place, Wenda Sheffield and Michael Conder, second place, and Dezmond McGriff, first place. Dezmond McGriff will attend a Jacksonville Jaguars game as an honored guest and will compete against state winners from all over the state of Florida.
