Four of the Decatur County elementary schools recently participated in a community service project as a part of the week long Red Ribbon Week celebration. With the theme, “Our Paws Don’t Touch Drugs!” students brought in canned dog or cat food to donate to our local Humane Society. One lucky student from each school won a drawing for a prize, which was a large stuffed dog. Numerous toys, leashes and other needed items were also donated.
