Hardaway features balanced offense

Columbus’s Hardaway High School Golden Hawks, Bainbridge’s Region 1-AAAAA opponent Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Field, will enter the game with a 2-4 overall record and an 0-1 record in region play.
The Golden Hawks’ offense is led by quarterback Blake Berry, and running backs Shakur Warner and Darius Blackmon. Berry has completed 29 of 75 passes for 354 yards and five touchdowns.
Warner has 83 carries for 453 yards, a 5.5 yards-per-carry average and five touchdowns. Blackmon has 18 carries for 109 yards, a 6.1 yards-per-carry average, and one touchdown.
The Golden Hawks top receivers are running back Tyre Thomas and wide receiver Tetris Sweat. Thomas has 14 catches for 166 yards, an 11.9 yards-per-reception average and one touchdown. Sweat has eight catches for 158 yards, a 19.8 yards-per-reception average and one touchdown.
“Hardaway always features a wide-open offense and a defense that will really get after you,” Bainbridge coach Ed Pilcher said. “We will have to be ready.”
