Harris, running for the Grace Christian Academy Cougars in 2011, won the 5,000-meter (3.1-mile) Epic 5K overall championship, with a time of 17 minutes, 58.60 seconds.

The run annually benefits the Dylan Reid Faircloth “tha First” Memorial Cross Country Scholarship, which is named for a late former Bearcats cross-country runner and organ donor.

Top Lady Cats  returning are sisters Paige and Amber Braswell. Paige is a junior and Amber is a senior.

Paige was the overall female Epic 5K winner last year, with a time of 23 minutes, 23.87 seconds.

“We are excited about getting the season started,” Enfinger said. “The young men and young ladies have really been working hard to get ready.”
