Champion All-Star baseball and softball teams from throughout the state are here this week to compete in several state Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) baseball and softball tournaments.

Bainbridge’s 11-and-12-year-old champion Midget Major All-Star baseball team began play Tuesday with a game against the Camden County All-Stars.

The 13-and-14-year-old champion Junior Major All-Stars also opened Tuesday, taking on the Liberty County All-Stars.

The 11-and-12-year-old champion Junior Girls All-Star softball team will host the Wayne County All-Stars today at 4 p.m.

The tournaments will run through Saturday, with the junior Major and Midget Major All-Star baseball championship games at noon and the Junior Girls championship game at 2 p.m.
