Former Bainbridge High School Bearcats All-Region 1-AAAA and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets All-ACC defensive back James Butler will hold his fifth annual Dream Foundation clinic and camp for 7-to-18-year-olds Saturday, July 14, at Centennial Field.

Butler was a member of the 2007 Super Bowl XLII champion New York Giants, who defeated the previously-undefeated New England Patriots 17-14.

Butler has also played for the St. Louis Rams. His Dream Foundation provides programs focusing on mentoring, education and youth leadership. It also aims to raise awareness and funds for literacy, low-income families and healthy decision making in the community.

It was able to inspire and uplift  Bainbridge youth through last year’s clinic and camp. Bainbridge High School coaches and former players assist in the camp instruction each year.

Butler, who was raised in Climax, is the son of the Rev. James Butler Sr. and Nadine Butler.
