Mejia scored in the 27th minute, on what Ard described as a laser shot from 25 yards away. Flanders scored on a penalty kick in the 65th minute, after Hernandez got fouled in the box.

Hernandez closed out the scoring with a goal in the 70th minute. He took a through-ball feed from Mejia and struck it into the  goal.

Ard liked the way his team performed Tuesday night, after just retuurning from spring break.

“Our last game had been a full two weeks ago and we did a good job of passing and finishing,” he said. “We can always get better, but our performance was not bad for just returning from spring break.

“Defensively, we played well most of the time. We looked tired sometimes, but several of our goals came as a direct result of high pressure after losing the ball in the Brooks County side of the field.”

Ard credited the team’s defense for securing the win.

“We won the ball back and created many opportunities for ourselves,” he said. “Dominic Douglas was strong in goal and Keyanni Hention made some great saves in the second half in goal when I played many young guys in front of him.

“Villeser Sarmiento was rock solid on defense as well. Kimani Crawford also showed some improvement with his defending and touch on the ball during the game. Michael Bush and Courtlind Miller also recorded valuable minutes in the game.”
