5K races will raise money for Relay For Life

Two 5K races are slated to raise money for Decatur County’s Relay for Life teams.
On Saturday, April 7, the Bainbridge College Relay for Life team will host its second annual Race Against Cancer 5K fund-raiser. All proceeds collected will go directly to fund the college’s Relay for Life team.
Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m., and the race will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on a well-marked, off-road/on-road path that winds around and through the campus. All child participants will receive a BC goodie bag and awards will be presented to age group winners.

On the evening of the Relay For Life on April 20, the Hand in Hand team will have a 5K race that starts at the venue, Bainbridge Middle School track. The race will take place in the surrounding community, and the last eighth-mile will finish on the track.
Registration is between 5:20 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. on Friday, April 20. The race will begin at 6:30 p.m. Awards will be made at 8 p.m. The registration fee is $20.
