Junior varsity Bearcats improve to 6-0

The Bainbridge High School junior-varsity Bearcats baseball team improved their record to 6-0 Thursday, after a 5-4 home victory over the Thomas County Central High School junior-varsity Yellow Jackets.
The Bearcats rallied for three runs in the third inning to cut a 4-0 Yellow Jackets lead to 4-3. Reid Willis banged out an RBI single after fouling off several two-strike pitches.
The Bearcats scored the tying and go-ahead runs in the fourth and sixth innings. The go-ahead run was driven in by a single by second baseman Cole Thomas. Grant McDonald and Jordan Davis had a hit apiece for the Bearcats.
The winning pitcher was Jordan Davis, who went three hitless and scoreless innings while striking out five.
The junior-varsity Bearcats will participate in the Cairo High School Syrupmakers Junior Varsity Invitational Tournament next Monday through Wednesday.
