Brandon Crawford finished first and went undefeated, leading coach Chad Smith’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats wrestling team to a third-place finish Saturday at the Florida State University team duals at Florida High School in Tallahassee, Fla.

Coach Smith said injuries and other trials have caused the wrestling teams numbers to dwindle toward the end of the season.

“With all the freshman starters getting the kind of experience they have gotten in meets like the one in Tallahassee, the future of Bearcats wrestling looks the best it has ever looked,” he said.

“With young wrestlers such as Grayson Heard, Ashton Cato, Latavious Baker, Hayden Guy, Damian Rackley, Agipito Estala, Josh Sheard and Charlie Emanuel leading the way, the future is solid.”
