On Saturday, the Bearcats, who trailed 25-21 at halftime, roared back to outscore the Pirates 36-13 in the second half.

“Miller County did a good job of driving to the basket on us in the first half, but we were much more successful stopping them when we changed our defense in the second half,” McCullough said. “We decided to play them straight up man-to-man and deny their path to the basket. That enabled us to build a lead.”

The Bearcats took their first double-digit lead at 39-28 when Glenn hit a driving layup with 1:12 left in the third quarter.

The Bearcats will return to action Saturday, when they travel to Cairo for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Cairo High School Syrupmakers.
