BMS teams drop basketball openers

The Bainbridge Middle School Lady Cats and Bearcats soccer teams dropped their opening games to Whigham Middle School’s Lady Indians and Indians Thursday at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum.
In the opener, the Lady Cats, who were led by Iesha Smart with 3 points, bowed 35-9 to the Lady Indians.
In the nightcap, the Bearcats, who were led by Patrick Proctor with 16 points, were downed 40-27 by the Indians.
The Lady Cats and Bearcats will return to action Wednesday, November 2 when they travel to Thomas County for 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. games with the Thomas County Central Middle School seventh grade Lady Yellow Jackets and Yellow Jackets.
The Bainbridge Middle School eighth grade Lady Cats and Bearcats will open their season Thursday, November 3 against the Seminole County Middle School Lady Indians and Indians at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum. The girls game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the boys game will follow at 5:30 p.m.
