Demons use balance on offense

The Warner Robins Demons, the Bainbridge Bearcats’ Region 1-AAAA homecoming opponent Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Field, has a balanced offensive attack.
Through seven games, they have rushed for an average of 187 yards a game and passed for an average of 98.9 yards a game.
They are 5-2 overall and 3-1 in Region 1-AAAA play. Their leading rusher is senior running back Brian Sutton with 94 carries for 440 yards, a 4.7 yards per carry average, and six touchdowns.
Junior running back DeAnthony Mack has 74 carries for 358 yards, a 4.8 yards-per-carry average, and three touchdowns. Junior running back Dede Wright has 33 carries for 148 yards, a 4.5 yards-per-carry average, and one touchdown.
The Demons have also moved the ball well through the air. Senior quarterback Ty Odom has completed 44 of 104 passes, for 654 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also thrown four interceptions.
The leading Warner Robins receiver is senior wide receiver Akeem Taylor. He has 16 receptions for 283 yards, and a touchdown.
Defensively, senior Walter Gaines has one interception for 43 yards and a touchdown.
