The Crisp County Lady Cougars scored six runs in the six inning to take a 6-6 lead, on the way to a 13-7 victory over the Lady Bearcats at Bainbridge High School.
A two-run single by Crisp County centerfielder Julia Davis broke the 6-6 tie and put the Lady Cougars ahead to stay.
The Lady Cats scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take an early 4-1 lead.
Third baseman Diamond Bouie and shortstop Briana Wade opened the inning with back-to-back singles to left. And then centerfielder Caitlin Cato followed with a single to center, driving in Bouie and moving Wade around to third.
Catcher Kristen Bennett then grounded out to second and Wade scored to put Bainbridge up, 2-1.
In the JV game, the two schools ended with a 3-3 tie.
First baseman Summer Strickland and right fielder Brit Moore both singled and scored for the junior varsity Lady Cats in the second. Left fielder Jordan Graham singled and came around to score the Lady Cats’ third run in the fifth.
