Lady Cougars lose close one

SENIOR BROCK BAILEY of the Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars, who has scored 1,399 points in her career, hits a three-point shot against the Georgia Christian School Lady Generals as the referee gives the basket good signal.

Coach Mike Harrell’s Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars basketball team dropped a close 61-53 decision to the Georgia Christian School Lady Generals last Thursday in Valdosta.

The game was close throughout.

The Lady Cougars led by just three, 17-14, at the end of the first quarter.

They outscored the Lady Cougars 10-6 in the second quarter to take a 27-20 halftime lead. A 20-14 third quarter scoring edge sent the Lady Generals to the fourth quarter with a 47-34 lead.

The Lsdy Cougars bounced back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lady Generals 19-14 to cut the advantage to the final margin of 8.

The Lady Cougars were led by Rachel Harrell with 15 points. Emma Heard and Jocelyn Jacobs scored with 11 apiece and Brock Bailey scored 9.
