All-Star Game Saturday

Four senior members of the 2010 Bainbridge High School football team have been selected to play in Saturday’s Florida-Georgia Border Wars High School Football All-Star Game in Moultrie.
This will be the third year of the game, which features top senior players from Southwest Georgia and the Big Bend of Florida.
The first two years it was played at Thomas County Central High School. This year, two games are being held—one in Moultrie, one in Valdosta. Kickoff for the game at Moultrie’s Mack Tharpe Stadium, which will feature the Bainbridge players—will be at 2 p.m. Saturday.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Bearcars will be reprsented by guard Jim Griffin, who had an excellent blocker rating of 82 percent on run and pass plays, as well as in open space.
Defensively, they will be represented by linebacker Jamario Brown, and linemen Qwatavius Middleton and Dewayne Gurley.
Brown led the Bearcats in tackles with 86, five of which were for losses. He also caused a fumble, a pass breakup and made three fumble recoveries.
Middleton had 43 tackles, six of which were for losses, a caused fumble, 10 quarterback hurries and a quarterback sack.
