Coach Patrick Clark’s Bainbridge Middle School seventh grade Bearcats basketball team defeated the Whigham Middle School seventh grade Indians 44-36 Wednesday to complete their season with a strong 5-0-1 record.

Leading the Bearcats victory Wednesday at the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum were Tyree Crump with 24 points, Dontavious Jones with seven points and Myles Thomas with five points.

Russell Wheeler and Jeantavious Jones added four points apiece to round out the Bearcats’ scoring column.

Coach Clark was impressed with his team’s efforts, not only against the Indians, but throughout the season as well.

“To conclude the season with five wins, no losses and one tie is a tribute to their continued efforts,” Clark said. “They played well on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor every time out.”
