Members of the Bainbridge Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently held a canned food drive and bake sale to benefit families in need for the Thanksgiving holidays. The students sent in canned soup, vegetables and other canned goods, surpassing their goal of 1,000 cans by Thanksgiving. In fact, they brought in more than 1,300 cans total. With funds from the bake sale, the club was able to buy a turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie for each of the eight families that the cans were delivered to recently.
