The Lake Seminole Ducks Unlimited Chapter held its annual banquet Thursday at the Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center. One of the items auctioned off was Chipper, a five-week-old Labrador retriever female. She was sold for $550, which helped the chapter gross approximately $20,000, said Jeff Summerlin, chairman of the local chapter. Holding Chipper is Shelbie Summerlin, daughter of Jeff Summerlin. The mission of DU and its banquet is to raise funds to help conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl.
