Author Holt speaks to BHS students

\Published author Anne Holt spoke to Heidi Chambers’ Writers’ Workshop class on Nov. 8. Holt has five published novels, a dissertation and a book of poetry, and she is working on a novel that will be set in Tallahassee, Fla. Holt’s novels are Westerns but contain mystery and intrigue as well as compelling characters. She has published “Silver Creek,” “Kendrick,” “Blanco Sol,” “Riding Fence” and “Blood Redemption.” Holt spoke to Chambers’ class on the writing process, the importance of research, and the process of editing and revising. Holt also told historical stories as well as reciting a narrative poem. The class thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and were reminded of the importance of writing regardless of life’s paths.
