Cross country teams solid at state

Bainbridge High School runners who qualified for the state Class AAAA meet turned in solid efforts Saturday at Carrollton High School.
In the girls’ division, Lady Cat Paige Braswell was 89th in the 216-runner field, completing the 5,000-meter, 3.1-mile course in a time of 21 minutes, 52.38 seconds.
Other Lady Cats competing well in Carrollton were Amber Braswell, who was 166th overall in a time of 24:04.22; and Brittany Williams and Caitlyn Cato, who were 180th and 181st overall in times of 25:12.25 and 25:13.77.
The Lady Cats Sarah Carpenter was 185th in a time of 25:23.33, and Anna Jordan was 203rd in a time of 26:51.85.
In the boys division, Joseph Ausgood of the Bearcats was 148th in a 230-runner field in a time of 19:02.32; Cole Farrington of the Bearcats was 164th in a time of 19:13.09; Austin Hand was 191st in a time of 19:53.08; Davey Reynolds was 207th in a time of 20:24.53; Antonio Anderson was 215th in a time of 21:03.20; LaDarius Moore was 217th in a time of 21:14.21, and Kimani Crawford was 221st in a time of 22:08.75.
