College former Bearcats meet Sat.

Three former Bainbridge High School Bearcats football players will be squaring off against each other Saturday when the Concordia College Hornets from Selma, Ala., meet the homestanding Benedict College Tigers in Columbia, S.C.
Junior linebacker Brandon Thompson and freshman outside linebacker Daniel Bivins, both of the Hornets, and senior quarterback Patrick Riley of the Tigers are all former Bearcats.
Bivins’ brother, Abraham Bivins, who rooms with him, is a member of the Concordia Band. He is a former member of the award-winning Bainbridge High School Marching Bearcat Band,
The Bivins brothers are the sons of the Rev. Adren and Sylvia Bivins, who are members of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Thompson is the son of Dewey and Lora Thompson and a member of Second St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
Riley is the son of Ms. Patricia Riley and a member of Second Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
The Hornets enter Saturday’s 2 p.m. encounter, which will be Benedict’s homecoming game, with a 4-2 record. The Tigers are 3-5.
