The Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 13th annual Youth Leadership Program beginning in January 2011. The Youth Leadership Steering Committee, chaired by Charlotte Howard, is now accepting nominations for this program. Nominees must be a sophomore or junior at either Bainbridge High School, Grace Christian Academy or home-schooled in Decatur County.

The Decatur County Youth Leadership Program is designed to develop leadership skills, offer interaction opportunities in our county, and increase awareness of community issues, needs and resources.

Participants will be expected to attend a 12-hour retreat followed by a 10-week program including six classes designed by the UGA J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership.

Other classes pertaining to business etiquette, crime and justice, entrepreneurship, health care, government and industry tours will also be included in the program. Classes will meet on Monday evenings.
