Middle school choirs excel

The Hutto Middle School Chorus, directed by Leah Ritt, received a superior rating. The Bainbridge Middle School and Hutto Middle School choruses took a trip to Cincinnati, Ohio, last May for choral competition and won first place in their divisions. While there, they visited city sites including the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Freedom Center and Underground Railroad Museum and Kings Island Thrill Park. They also had the opportunity to enjoy a Reds baseball game and see the Tony award-winning musical “Wicked.”  The groups are making plans for a trip to Orlando, Fla., in the coming spring.
