Bainbridge runners strong in two meets

Coach Mandi O’Mara’s Bainbridge High School and Middle School cross country team runners turned in strong efforts at meets at Thomasville and Albany the past two weekends.
BHS’ Cole Farrington finished 20th in a 192-runner field Saturday, Sept. 25 at Thomasville High School School’s 5,000-meter 3.1-mile Quail Trail Run. This past Saturday, the Bearcats and Lady Cats ran in Albany’s Westover High School Patriots Invitational Meet.
The top Lady Cats Quail Trail Run finisher was Paige Braswell who was 19th in a 150-runner girls field with a time of 24:06.38.
In the middle school Quail Trail 3200-meter, two-mile boys run competition, Bearcat Bennett Enfinger was 17th in a time of 12:46.59 and his teammate Brad Cox was 28th in a time of 13:05.41.
Jessica Miranda was the top Middle School Lady Cat in the 3200-meter, two-mile girls run. She was 13th in a time of 14:50.38.
At the Westover Patriots Invitational Meet in Albany this past Saturday, the Bearcats were led by Cole Farrington, who was 115th in a 256-runner boys field in a time of 18:10.29 and the Lady Cats were led by Paige Braswell, who was 87th in a 221-runner girls field in a time of 22:00.87.
Following an open date this Saturday, the Middle School Bearcats and Lady Cats will host the Southwest Georgia Middle School Cross Country Championship Meet on Saturday, Oct. 16.
