Memorial’s auxiliary awards scholarships

The Memorial Hospital and Manor Auxiliary awarded three $500 scholarships this year to college students who are pursuing an education in health-related fields.

The recipients this year are Susan Barnard, a nursing student (ADN) at Bainbridge College; Shana Day, an occupational therapy assistant student at Darton College in Albany, and Temberly Mitchell, a nursing student (BSN) at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.

The Auxiliary makes scholarships available annually to applicants of Decatur, Grady, Miller, Mitchell and Seminole counties who have been accepted (or anticipate acceptance) in an accredited school and who express an interest in working at Memorial Hospital and Manor in any health care field after completion of their education.

The application deadline is June 30 each year, and applications are available through the hospital Web site, www.mh-m.org.

Tax deductible donations for the scholarship fund may be made to Memorial Hospital and Manor Auxiliary, 1500 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.
