Bainbridge College will host a ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, to name the academic affairs conference room in the Mobley Administration Building for the late Dr. Fred Henderson.
University System of Georgia policy permits presidents to name interior spaces on campuses to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to those institutions, BC President Tom Wilkerson noted in his announcement to the campus community of the upcoming event.
“Those of you who knew Dr. Henderson and had the opportunity to serve with him are aware that he was an outstanding Charter Faculty Member here and served with great distinction as our chief academic affairs officer from 1984 until his retirement in 1991,” President Wilkerson said. “Dr. Henderson’s discipline was English, and he also served as chair of our Learning Support department.”
