Funeral services for John Albert Moreau, 63, of the Bettstown Community outside of Quincy, Fla., will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Hopewell United Methodist Church, on Drane Smith Road where it intersects the Betts Community Road.

Mr. Moreau was born Nov. 1, 1948, in Meriden, Conn., and died March 21, 2012, at his home.
He became a long-time resident of Tallahassee, Fla., and Quincy, and retired after a long and distinguished career with the Tallahassee Police Department. In retirement, Mr. Moreau ran his own business, doing carpentry and building furniture. He was an active member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church for 40 years.

Mr. Moreau is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Cox Moreau; devoted son, James Moreau; parents, Bob and Cora Nell Moreau; sister, Sally and brother-in-law Steve Dow, brother Charles Moreau, all of Meriden; Rosa and brother David Moreau of Port Orange, Fla.; Aunt Charolette Harvey; Uncle Victor Dickenson; many loving nieces and nephews that he loved to tease; and the entire Cox family and Dickenson family, who loved and cherished John.
