Patrick Michael Dow was born April 14, 1954, in Davenport, IA, the son of Frank and Anna Enright Dow. He lived and worked in California prior to 1984 when he moved to Southwest Georgia. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Jeanie Blalock. Pat retired from the “old” Bainbridge Truck Stop. He was a Christian by faith.

Riding around, taking it all in, was Pat’s idea of a good time. He enjoyed watching old westerns on television and spending time with his family. Junior and Remi, Pat’s dogs, had no idea they weren’t members of the human family because he treated them as such.

Pat was just a good ol’ boy trying to do good things. He was known as the neighborhood “Pops”, and felt called to steer the younger generation on the right path. He loved unconditionally, and tried to help others understand you don’t have to sweat the small stuff.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jeanie B. Dow; his children, Martha Faircloth of Nashville, TN and Michael & Dee Dow of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Nicholas, Madison, and Erin; his two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Maureen Morley (Ken) of Coal Valley, IL and Charles Dow (Mary) of Springfield, MA; and his beloved dogs, Junior and Remi. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaitlin Anna Dow, and his brothers, Edward Dow and James Dow.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
